Shiva Hotels, whose portfolio includes five Hiltons, has created the Shiva Foundation.The foundation aims to tackle and prevent human trafficking and modern slavery in the UK with a more collaborative and systemic approach to making change.

The Co-Op launched its Bright Futures programme in April last year which offers the opportunity of a paid work placement and a job in our food business to those who have been rescued from modern slavery.

In July, 10 businesses including The Body Shop and Dixons Carphone signed up for the Bright Futures programme-. Co-op said more than 30 vulnerable survivors were already being given a chance to rebuild their lives by the Co-op and it is envisaged that up to 300 will secure placements through the Bright Future programme by 2020.
